Chevrolet C10 and Square Body trucks for sale in the UK
The Chevrolet pickup has moved from working vehicle to collectable in barely a decade, and the market is still learning the difference between a tidy truck and a properly preserved one.

Chevrolet C10
Orange paint over a modern 5.3 litre LS, which is the combination most people building a C10 eventually arrive at anyway. Old shape, current manners, no theatre.

Chevrolet K10 Cheyenne
Gold over a 502, four wheel drive, and the Cheyenne trim that put carpet where Chevrolet normally put rubber. The square body truck that got promoted from site to showroom.

Chevrolet C10
A shortbed is worth roughly twice the aggravation of finding one, and this green example arrives with 496 cubic inches to justify the search. The bed has clearly carried very little and that is fine.
The things that decide whether a car is worth the money.
Two eras, two markets
The 1967 to 1972 C10 is the design purist's choice and carries the higher ceiling, particularly in short bed fleetside form. The 1973 to 1987 Square Body is the faster moving market, driven by younger collectors who grew up with them. Both are rising. They are not interchangeable, and pricing one against the other is the most common mistake we see in the UK.
Short bed, long money
Bed length changes the value of an otherwise identical truck substantially. Short bed fleetside trucks are the strongest performers, followed by short bed stepsides. Long bed trucks are honest, usable and considerably better value, and we will say so when a long bed is the more sensible purchase.
Cab corners tell the truth
Cab corners, rocker panels, the lower door skins and the floor beneath the rubber mat are where these trucks fail. So is the area behind the rear cab window, which traps water and is routinely patched rather than repaired. We inspect from underneath and photograph what we find, including the parts nobody wants to photograph.
Imports and running costs
Most C10s and early Square Bodies fall within the historic import categories, and pre 1986 trucks are exempt from UK road tax and MOT once registered. Parts availability for both generations is exceptional, which makes them among the most practical American classics to actually use in Britain.
- Original cab corners and rockers rather than filled repairs
- Dry state history supported by registration records
- Correct bed and trim configuration for the stated model
- Frames free of heavy scaling or previous accident repair
